Welcome to Urban Slums Education Development Programs: We our Mission is to provide education and mentoring to thousands of students from all walks of life.
Kenya is home to some of the most densely populated slums in Africa.
The slums include Kibera, mathare, mukuru kwa njenga and mukuru kwa ruben are the a few of those.
The slums play host to students both primary and secondary. Some learners attend the schools in the same locality while others attend schools in other areas.
The biggest challenge identified lack of sufficient and quality learning and teaching as well as lack the materials required for learning and teaching. These challenges are not factored in during the final national examinations where these learners will compete with other learners from better environmental and educational backgrounds.
